PRAYER SUMMARY FOR FEBRUARY 20, 2007

Training Points

James 5:16 KJV
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Ephesians 2:6 AMP
And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Daniel 11:32 AMP
but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God]

A Matter of Perspective
Your position in prayer should be that of authority. We are in Him, therefore where He is, we are. We are to pray from this heavenly position of 'everything under our feet'. It is a perspective of kingdom dominion and is a standard position of prayer. This perspective affects the way we pray. We are not beggars. We are not begging God to do what He already says he'll do. As we realize our position, in Him, as representatives who speak on behalf of the will of God, we will pray with power and authority. He's the head, we are the body, He's going to instruct through our spirits what it is He wants to pray. As prayer becomes our lifestyle, gradually we move from learning how to pray--to having a relationship.

Who's Agenda Are You Praying?
Are you going into prayer with your agenda or are you being led by the Holy Spirit? Your agenda may work if you're praying the right principles, but a higher place of prayer is being led by the Holy Spirit. When you do, He will speak through you to get the things done that He's assigned to get done and also take care of you--whether that comes out in your prayer language or through an intercessor on the other side of the planet. God is good, he'll take care of you. All you have to do is let him lead. That's what trust and faith is all about.

Effectual Prayer
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
Since there can be effectual prayer, this also means there can be ineffectual prayer. What makes a prayer effectual? It all comes down to praying the Word which is the will of God. The will of God can be found in Genesis to Revelation. When we get the word on it, then we know and can have confidence about what we are praying--because God is true to His word. If you don't know what scriptures to stand on yet, then keep meditating and pray in the spirit. Praying in the spirit or "prayer language" is the highest way of praying, and it gets us out of your own intellect and reasoning. This is how to get out of our agenda and into His agenda. As He prompts--it can be a thought, idea, a vision, or scripture--then all of a sudden you've got interpretation and He's directed what to pray out.

Fervent Means Intensity
"Desires of the heart" is directly connected to fervor... desire is fervor. Every one of us has something we desire or we feel. Those things that keep coming up in our spirit when we pray, go with it whether personal, corporate or for somebody else. Train in this. Because the desire that comes up in our spirit is Him teaching us how to pray effectually and fervently based on what He's doing in us. We can't force ourselves into a fervent prayer for something we don't have a desire for. Fervency is birthed out of intense desire. So we can't pray someone else's fervency and desire, only our own. That's why it's important to never compare ourselves to others--because we are each strategically positioned for our own place.

The Prayer Pulse

Psalm 18:25 AMP
With the kind and merciful You will show Yourself kind and merciful, with an upright man You will show Yourself upright, With the pure You will show Yourself pure, and with the perverse You will show Yourself contrary. For You deliver an afflicted and humble people but will bring down those with haughty looks. For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run through a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God, The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect? He makes my feet like hinds' feet [able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble]; He sets me securely upon my high places.

Psalm 23 AMP
THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake. Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [a]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over. Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

Ephesians 2:17 AMP
And He came and preached the glad tidings of peace to you who were afar off and [peace] to those who were near. For it is through Him that we both [whether far off or near] now have an introduction (access) by one [Holy] Spirit to the Father [so that we are able to approach Him]. Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household. You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone. In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

We worship you Father
We are honored to be your children, honored to be your vessels. Just as you spoke to Moses, and said, "come up here," we eagerly run and we come to the throne room to commune, listen and to obey and to become the mouth piece that you must have this morning. We welcome you HG to lead us and instruct us. We honor your place here and your presence... the Spirit of the living God. We give attention to you, lay down our agendas, hopes and dreams, empty of it all, just to fellowship and spend time with you. Teach us your thoughts, your heartbeat, who you are. Reveal another layer of yourself to us this morning.

We love you, we adore you
• You are the very breath we breathe, and the very blood that runs through our veins.
• You are wonderful
• Your plans, purposes and pursuits are magnificent
• Your goodness
• You are so mighty, so beautiful

We dote on you this morning Father
• We thank you for being our strength, comforter, help, guide, instructor, conficence, counsel
• Thank you for giving us the words to speak
• You are so trustworthy--our best friend
• We come to be intimate with you, to hear your voice
• We love you. We are so in love with you.
• We lose ourselves and bask in you, there is no other but you

Nothing can separate us from your love
• You are kind and merciful
• Your Word is perfect, restoring the whole person
• We worship you!
• You are our Shepherd
• Goodness mercy and love abide in us throughout our lives.
• Your love is not passive
• Your love and mercy pursues us
• Your love is vigilant, kinetic, hot, jealous
• We pine for your jealousy
• He pursues us with intensity
• More!

We run to you Father
• We are addicted to you. Possessive of you.
• Passion and Intensity
• We worship you!
• Burning after you oh Lord
• We honor you

We declare over this Body
• Hearts that let go
• Burning with passion and desire
• Consuming fire
• Boldness to walk out
• Step forth
• Even the timid step out of the boat

You're aligning and positioning us
• Moving into deeper place and deeper work of the consuming fire
• We yield, let our hearts go
• Open the windows of heaven and stir up the intensity in our hearts
• More intense. More intensity
• More possession of you--less of us and more of you
• Eyes opening
• [Vision of waters being parted]
• Revelation of who we are
• Our Lord fights for us

Fervency... there is not another way you Lord can teach us fervency
• For we desire to be with you
• There is no one else like you
• Nobody else that can love the way you do
• Nobody else can give the word that will sustain us
• Nobody else can give us peace like you do
• Nobody else can heal the way you do
• Nobody else knows everything about us
• You want us to return that back to you, to say, "You my God, my one and only. You are all that I need, all that I trust. My breath." Thank you.
• You are so good to us
• You are our rock and shield
• We desire to be in your presence.. this is fervency

It's a relationship that goes two ways...
Praying out how we feel about God is fervency. He longs to be loved and to be jealous over. He longs for us to tell Him how much we desire Him. There is no safer place than to loose ourselves in Him. Let him be jealous, let him pursue. He longs for that passion, for that intensity from us. He longs for that part of our heart. Open the heart's floodgate, get consumed, and fire will come out of you that can't be contained. Today in prayer was a taste of His emotional realm. It is not limited to specific gifts and callings. All of us have the desire to fellowship with Him. He will never reject us.

Amen
