music and choir

In unity, faith and excellence of worship , the vision of Trinity's Music Ministry is to create a supernatural highway that leads to a place and atmosphere for people to press into the manifest presence of God. (Isaiah 35:8-10)

There are many areas to get involved in music from playing in the band, singing, to stage and sound setup.

Stacey Swalley is our music pastor.
Before coming to Trinity, Pastor Stacey traveled the world with Rodney Howard-Browne. He also has been the music director for a large ministry in the Tampa, Florida area. Stacey has been ministering around the world since 1982, and he has led worship in over 10 different countries and been a part of ministries that have touched the world. He has a humble heart and is ready to serve in any way he can. His heart for God is contagious and it shines through in his worship.

Psalm 100:4 NIV
Scriptural Basis of
Praise and Worship

These scriptures deal with the calling, service, and lifestyle of believers involved in music ministry.

I Chronicles 15, 16, 25:1-7

II Chronicles 20:21

Nehemiah 10:28-29

Ephesians 1:4

I Peter 1:16

Musicians and singers are appointed to ministry. It was a priestly ministry, a ministry of service; a calling which is holy and should be taken seriously. Singers and musicians studied under a teacher and were teachable. They were open to correction, relying on the musically and spiritually. They were to be faithful and learned to be diligent at all times. Finally, they were committed to unity, not striving and competing with one another.

Further study reveals that singers and musicians were clothed in a white linen garment. Fine linen represents a picture of righteousness of the saints (Revelation 19:10). Ministry flows out of righteousness. How can someone not born-again minister out of the Spirit? He is not in right standing with God (John 4:23,24).

God also requires holiness. Being cleansed from you sin and made righteous is one thing; but walking in that righteousness in a daily, sanctified lifestyle is another story all together. Notice Nehemiah 10:28-29. It says, “They separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone having knowledge, and having understanding.” Take note of the family relationship in support of the one in ministry.

We are holy because of Jesus (Ephesians 1:4; I Peter 1:6) However; we must work out holiness day by day. (Romans 12:1-2; II Corinthians 7:1). It is for these reasons that we have implemented a list of guidelines and expectations for each team member. These are not given so as to “put you into bondage”, but merely to serve as a reminder to you of the awesome responsibility God has placed on you as you faithfully serve Him in this capacity.
